The Dakota Wesleyan University Tiger of the Week is senior golfer Coleman Caldwell, it was announced by the DWU athletic department Wednesday.

Caldwell, a native of Chamberlain, S.D., led the Tigers to a first-place finish on Oct. 10 and 11 at the Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo.

DWU finished with two-round total of 581 led by Caldwell, who shot a 144, good for a tie in third place. 

Teams that participated in the event were: DWU, Missouri Valley A and B, Rockhurst University, Avila University and Fontbonne University. Avila hosted the two-day tournament.

Earlier in the year, Caldwell defeated his counterpart in the Midland Matches on on Sept. 24, bringing home a seventh-place finish.

Caldwell and the Tigers have completed the fall portion of the season and await the 2017 season.
