Marina Brightman

 The Dakota Wesleyan University Tiger Athlete of the Week is Marina Brightman, it was announced by the DWU athletic department Monday.

 Brightman led the Tigers with two goals at Central Christian College (Kan.) on Saturday to lead DWU to a 4-1 victory. Brightman scored a crucial goal early in the second half to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead. Five minutes later Brightman tallied her second goal of the game, giving DWU a two-goal lead as the Tigers never looked back.

 Brightman now has collected three goals, one assist and seven points on the season. The freshman continues to help the women’s Tiger soccer team which now has a record of 2-3 going into conference play this week.

 DWU is on the road against Dordt College at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
