DWU baseball adds win over Winnipeg in Tucson
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team was back in action, taking on William Penn University and the University of Winnipeg on Sunday, while dropping a doubleheader to Malone University on Monday at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson.

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team was back in action, taking on William Penn University and the University of Winnipeg on Sunday, while dropping a doubleheader to Malone University on Monday at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson.
The Tigers dropped a 5-3 decision to William Penn, but was able to defeat Winnipeg 7-5. In the victory over Winnipeg, Jerrod Zens (Alexandria, S.D.) was 3-for-4 with a grand slam, while Hartman Katz (Huron, S.D.), Peyton Price (Norfolk, Neb.) and Tyler Waddle (Huron, S.D.) added two hits. Dillon Campbell (Ashland, Neb.) tallied the win after tossing eight innings, allowing three runs on six hits, while striking out six and walking two. Senior William Lutjen (Miller Place, N.Y.) picked up the save after hurling one inning and striking out three.
On Monday, the Tigers dropped two games to NCAA Division II Malone University, 11-6, and 1-0.
