DWU baseball inks local standout
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team is proud to announce the commitment of local talent, Cole Gassman for the 2019 season, head baseball coach John Greicar announced Monday.
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team is proud to announce the commitment of local talent, Cole Gassman for the 2019 season, head baseball coach John Greicar announced Monday.
The Canova, S.D., native played baseball for Bridgewater Emery High School, as well as legion baseball for three years. With his legion team, Gassman was named Most Valuable Player after his team took third place at the 2017 State Tournament.
"We are very excited to welcome Cole to the Tiger baseball family," Greicar said. "He is a very talented athlete and we anticipate him making an immediate impact on our campus and within our baseball program."
Along with baseball, Gassman was a four-year starter in basketball and track, while being a three-year starter in football.
Cole is the son of Mike and Denise Gassman and plans to major in business agriculture at DWU.
