MITCHELL, S.D. – Senior Tre Hobbs (Detroit, Mich.) will be hard at work over the holiday break, competing in four different senior bowl games in Florida and South Carolina.
Hobbs will first be attending the American vs. Europe Bowl on Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and will later compete in the Tyrant Bowl in Miami, Fla., the NCAA DII vs. NAIA Bowl in Myrtle Beach and the Globe Bowl in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Jan. 14, 2018.
The Detroit, Mich., native will be showcasing his skills in front of NFL, CFL and overseas scouts in hopes of landing with a team next season.
"My experience with the DWU football program has helped me grow as a player and as a person, and for that, I am very thankful," Hobbs said. "I am excited and anxious to get the opportunity to showcase my abilities to NFL, CFL and overseas scouts. As each day passes, the anticipation builds. I know this is what I have been working towards and the time is finally here for me to show what I am capable of."
During his senior season, Hobbs played in five games, hauling in 16 catches for 262 yards and three touchdowns.
"We are very excited for Tre and the opportunities he has to showcase his abilities." Head Coach Ross Cimpl said. "We are looking forward to have DWU represented on that stage and wish him the best of luck. This is a tremendous opportunity for him."
