MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University athletic department will be inducting Gerald Neumann (’68), Chris Determan (’96), Danielle Bellet Evenson (’12) and Brady Wiebe (’11) into the DWU Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2018 tomorrow on the DWU campus.

Spicer named NAIA All-American First Team, Hoglund tabbed to Third Team

MITCHELL, S.D. – After the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team finished the season in its fourth-straight trip to the NAIA Men’s National Basketball Tournament, two players were named to the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball All-America Team. Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was named First Team All-American, while Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) was named Third Team, it was announced by the NAIA Thursday.

Tigers season ends in closing seconds of NAIA National Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – With 16.9 seconds to play, Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) brought the ball up the court and swung the ball around the top of the key and found Nygel Drury (Madison, Wis.) for the game-winning 3-pointer, but the shot fell short. The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team fell to the College of Idaho, 62-60 in the second round of the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship, presented by Cypress Risk Management, Friday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

DWU prepared to make run in fourth-consecutive tournament appearance

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team battled down the stretch to earn themselves their fourth-straight trip to the 2018 NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship. The Tigers racked up 22 wins this year, which is the fourth-consecutive year with 20 or more wins in a season.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 5 seed Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team used an 8-0 run to take an early lead, and never looked back as they defeated No. 4 seed Governors State University (Ill.) 84-67 in the first round of the 2018 NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship, presented by Cypress Risk Management, Thursday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Four members of the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team were tabbed with All-Conference honors in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) were named All-GPAC First Team, while Trae Vandeberg (Madison, S.D.) was named All-GPAC Second Team and Nygel Drury (Madison, S.D.) was named All-GPAC Honorable Mention, it was announced by the conference Wednesday.
