What to know for DWU men’s basketball’s opening round game

MITCHELL, S.D. – With the Dakota Wesleyan University men's basketball team punching the ticket to its sixth consecutive NAIA Men's Basketball National Tournament, the Tigers open play against Indiana University-South Bend in the opening round of the tournament at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. 

 How to buy tickets and how to watch

 Tickets can be purchased either online at www.naia.org, or they can be purchased at the door for $16/adults, $11/seniors or $6/youth (ages 6-college). If you can't make it out to the Sanford Pentagon to watch the Tigers play, the NAIA will have the games live streamed. Click HERE for the link to the live stream and stats.  Who the Tigers play

 DWU plays Indiana-University of South Bend out of South Bend, Indiana. The Titans have an overall record of 25-8 on the season and punched their way to the national tournament by way of defeating Olivet Nazarene University in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship game.

 IU South Bend ranks in the top-10 nationally in various categories. They rank fifth in total scoring with 2,848 points this season and seventh with 312 steals this year. The Titans also check in at eighth with a 49.4% field-goal percentage this year and with a +14.0 scoring margin.

 Leading the Titans is Kourlandt Martin with 14.6 points, 3.8 assists and 1.7 steals per contest. He ranks 23^rd in the NAIA with 56 steals on the season. Norell Smith leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game and is fourth on the team with 9.8 points per game.
