Preston leads Tiger men to third-place finish

YANKTON, S.D. – Sophomore Connor Preston (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for third place after carding a two-day total of 146 to help the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team secure third place at the Mount Marty Fall Invite on Monday and Tuesday at the Hillcrest Country Club in Yankton, S.D.

YANKTON, S.D. – Sophomore Connor Preston (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for third place after carding a two-day total of 146 to help the Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf team secure third place at the Mount Marty Fall Invite on Monday and Tuesday at the Hillcrest Country Club in Yankton, S.D.

Senior Russell Pick (Kimball, S.D.) tied for 10^th-place with a 146, while freshman Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) tied for 15^th-place after carding a 161. Alec Johnson (Tyndall, S.D.) shot a 164 to tie for 24^th-place and Ryker Kreutzfeldt (Mitchell, S.D.) tied for 52^nd with a 176.

The DWU JV squad finished in fifth place. Northwestern College placed first as a team with a team total of 599.

The Tigers will compete in the GPAC Fall Qualifier at the Willow Run Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
