Along with golf, he competed in football and basketball for the Jaguars. He helped his team to a State Consolation Championship in basketball during the 2016 season and was a member of the 2017 football team that was South Dakota Class 9A Runner-Up.
Zomer spent four years on the honor roll during high school.
"Gavin is a great all-around athlete and brings in a tremendous work ethic," Hoek said. "We believe his best golf is ahead and look forward to him making big strides on the team and on our campus."
He is the son of Kevin and Cindy Zomer and plans to major in business management at DWU.
