DWU men’s golf competes at Doane Spring Invite
CRETE, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team competed at the Doane Spring Invite and took home a fifth-place finish out of 13 teams Friday and Saturday in Crete and Lincoln, Neb.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Connor Preston (Aberdeen, S.D.) who recorded an 80 in the first round and a 75 through the second round for a total of 155, tied for eighth. Russell Pick (Kimball, S.D.) tied for 14th place after carding a two-day total of 158. Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) tied for 26th out of 74 golfers with a total of 163.
Alec Johnson (Tyndall, S.D.) tied for 36th place after recording 165 through two rounds. Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) carded a 169, tied for 43rd, while Jayden Engels (Watertown, S.D.) took home a 49th-place finish after a total of 173.
The DWU men's golf team hits the course next at the Bethel Invite on April 7 and 8 in Hesston, Kan., and Newton, Kan.
