Two DWU golfers named to All-GPAC Team

Senior Russell Pick (Kimball, S.D.) and sophomore Nicole Nelson (Platte, S.D.) were each named to the All-GPAC men's and women's golf teams.
The season was highlighted for Pick during the GPAC Spring Preview at the Woodland Hills Golf Club in Eagle, Neb. He brought home his first collegiate tournament victory after he carded a 74 in the first round and a 68 in the second round. Pick sank a double eagle from 226 yards out to help secure the win.
In the GPAC Championships a week later, Pick tied for fifth after finishing with a 72 and a 73 through two rounds. Other top finishes that Pick tallied this season included a seventh-place finish at the Bethel Spring Invitational where he carded a total of 147.
For Nelson, the season began with a team victory at the Bethany Invite in McPherson, Kan., on March 6. Nelson led the team with a fifth-place finish after recording an 86 through the tournament. A month later, Nelson tied for sixth at the CSM/MU Spring Invitational in Omaha, Neb., after tallying an 80. She finished the spring with two top-five finishes and three top-10 finishes.
The men's golf team graduates two seniors, while the women's golf team returns all golfers and will add 10 new faces for next season.
