DWU men’s golf competes at Siouxland and Jamestown Invitational
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team competed at the Siouxland Invitational on Thursday and Friday in Orange City, Iowa, while also competing at the Jamestown Invitational in Jamestown, N.D., on Sunday and Monday.

At the Siouxland Invitational, Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) led the way for DWU as he tied for 12th with a two-day total of 148. Nolan Wiegel (Huron, S.D.) tied for 21st place after carding a 151, while Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) finished with a 79 and 74, tied for 24th.
Ramsey Johnson (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for 56th in the invitational with a 169, as Bennett Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) carded a 171, tying for 60th.
Other Tigers who competed in the invitational were Jayden Engels (Watertown, S.D.), Jamie McGowan (White River, S.D.), Wyatt Voelker (Newcastle, Wyo.), Bryce Kerkman (Atkinson, Neb.) and Nate Hohn (Parkston, S.D.).
In the Jamestown Invitational, Wiegel led the Tigers as he tied for ninth with a two-day total of 155. Carpenter finished only one stroke behind Wiegel with a 156 as he tied for 11th, while Engels carded a 158. Morrison tallied a 24th-place finish after notching a 165, as McGowan came in 30th with a 172.
The DWU men's golf team takes the course again at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Fall Qualifier on Sept. 23-25 at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
