DWU men’s golf performs at GPAC Preview

SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf team participated in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Spring Preview on Monday at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Sioux City, S.D.
Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) led the way for the Tigers carding a two-round total of 155 after firing a 73 in the second round. The sophomore arguably hit his best shot of the day on the par four hole 17 where he tallied an eagle. Carpenter finished the meet tied for 18th place. Finishing right behind Carpenter was freshman Nolan Wiegel (Huron, S.D.) who tallied a 156 and tied for 20th.
Tying for 48th was Bennet Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) who finished with a 166, while Tony Hayes (Sioux Falls, S.D.) tied for 51st after carding a 167. Justice Morrison tallied a 171, while Ramsey Johnson (Aberdeen, S.D.) finished with a two-day total of 174.
DWU will compete in the GPAC Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Sioux City, S.D.
