MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team couldn’t fend off Great Plains Athletic Conference foe, Northwestern College on Wednesday night in Mitchell. The Red Raiders defeated the Tigers 4-0 at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team couldn't fend off Great Plains Athletic Conference foe, Northwestern College on Wednesday night in Mitchell. The Red Raiders defeated the Tigers 4-0 at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.
Down by just a goal at halftime, DWU couldn't muster any offense to get on the scoreboard as the Red Raiders scored in the 52nd, 59th and 79th minute.
Northwestern outshot DWU 23-6. Reece Weber (Brookings, S.D.), Shayne Quinn (Mesa, Ariz.), Joshua Pike (Hesperia, Calif.) and Gage Pemberton (Overland Park, Kan.) tallied a shot on goal in the loss. Gaston Miteff (Berazategui, Argentina) had six saves.
DWU (3-7, 0-3 GPAC) welcomes reigning NAIA National Champions No. 8 Hastings College for a GPAC battle at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Mitchell.
