Men’s soccer signs Pulido as graduate assistant

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer program is happy to announce the new graduate assistant for the 2019 soccer season. Luis Pulido will join head coach Jose Lopez to lead the program in 2019, the DWU athletic department announced Monday.

 Pulido brings a wealth of experience to DWU as he currently is the head girls coach at Columbus High School in Columbus, Neb. Pulido played College soccer at York College from 2010-12 and worked with the goalkeepers at York College in 2013-14.

 At Columbus High School, Pulido led his team to three-straight winning seasons including two district championships, along with a conference championship in 2018. Pulido was the assistant coach at Central Community College during the 2017 and 2018 season.

 Pulido also started a soccer school called Mind's Eye Soccer Academy. This academy gives players the opportunity to obtain soccer coaching at an affordable cost. Working with non-profit organizations to take soccer instruction to under-served areas.

 In 2018-19, Pulido was named to the United Soccer Coaches 30 under 30 program class. This program selects 15 men and 15 women from around the United States that are making a positive impact within the game of soccer.

 Pulido also holds a USSF 'C' License, Goalkeeping Level 1 Certification, Director of Coaching Diploma and is currently working on the Advanced National License.

 Pulido and his wife Flor are expecting their first child this summer, as they prepare for the 2019 DWU men's soccer season in the fall.
