TIGERS RETURN HOME FOR MATCHUP WITH V-HAWKS

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team returns home for a non-conference contest against Viterbo University at 1 p.m. on Saturday from the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell, S.D. A season ago, Dakota Wesleyan secured its first victory of the 2020 campaign with a 1-0 victory over VU in La Crosse, Wis.

MITCHELL, S.D. –  The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team returns home for a non-conference contest against Viterbo University at 1 p.m. on Saturday from the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell, S.D. A season ago, Dakota Wesleyan secured its first victory of the 2020 campaign with a 1-0 victory over VU in La Crosse, Wis.

About the Tigers

  • DWU is averaging seven shots per match along with four shots on goal per contest through its first three outings of the season.
  • Joel Sanchez (Salinas, Calif.) made his 27th career appearance for the Tigers in a 1-0 overtime defeat versus Nebraska Wesleyan University on Wednesday in Lincoln, Neb.
  • Roberto Gerardo Romero (Lynwood, Calif.) made his fourth-straight start for the Blue and Gray against the Prairie Wolves and has attempted three shots thus far in 2021.

About the V-Hawks  

  • VU kicked off the season with a 1-1 draw versus St. Ambrose University as a part of the 2021 Viterbo Men's Soccer Tournament.
