Mitchell, S.D. - The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team win a hard-fought 1-0 victory against the South Dakota School of Mines in a match that involved communication and strong defensive efforts from both sides.
 
The first half saw both teams create opportunities but ultimately fail to capitalize. The Tigers and Hardrockers engaged in a back-and-forth battle, with Dakota Wesleyan attempting shots from various distances. However, solid defensive work and goalkeeping on both ends kept the scoreline level at halftime.
 
As the second half unfolded, the Tigers began to find their rhythm. Two minutes into the period, David Lennon made a crucial play, assisting teammate Colton Douglas. Douglas took advantage of the setup, striking the ball past the Hardrockers' goalkeeper to put the Tigers ahead 1-0. 
 
With the lead established, Dakota Wesleyan focused on maintaining their advantage. The defense tightened, effectively stopping several aggressive attempts by the Hardrockers to equalize. Despite a few late-game attempts the Tigers held strong, shutting out their opponents.
