General: Cottrill joins the 2016-17 Tiger track team from Lead-Deadwood High School. Cottrill adds depth in the mid-distance for the Tigers.

 Freshman (2016-17): Participated on the 2016 Dakota Wesleyan University cross country team.

 High School: Cottrill ran mid-distance for Lead-Deadwood, having success in the 400-meter dash, 800-meter run and 1,600-meter run … best mark in the 400-meter dash was 54.14, 800-meter run was 2:05 and 1,600-meter run was 4:50 … he also competed in football.

 Personal: Born Dec. 15, 1997 … son of Chad and Shauna Cottrill … majoring in elementary education.
