General: Enters his final season with the Tiger track team … looks to build off his junior season and strive for new heights … also a member of the golf team.

Junior (2016): Started his indoor season at the South Dakota State University Holiday Invite in the long jump and placed 14th with a jump of 5.82 meters … competed at the Dennis Young Classic and took seventh in the long jump with 5.82 meters … took tenth place in the shot put to begin the outdoor season in the Dordt Invitational and ninth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.24 … competed at the Red Raider Open and came away with multiple top finishes. Took 11th in the 400-meter dash, eighth in the 1,500-meter run, tenth in the high jump, 12th in the 100-meter dash, fourth in the pole vault, ninth in long jump, eighth in javelin throw, third in the discus with a throw of 32.01 meters, eighth in shot put, ninth in 110-meter hurdles and sixth in decathlon … had another great outing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships. He finished 14th in the 400-meter dash at 57.70, 11th in the 1,500-meter run, 11th in the high jump, ninth in the 100-meter dash at 11.71, ninth in the pole vault, 12th in the long jump, ninth in the javelin throw, seventh in the discus throw with a toss of 31.61 meters and 11th in the shot put, 100-meter hurdles and decathlon.

Sophomore (2014-15): A member on the Tiger 4X100-meter relay team that placed fourth at the Mount Marty Twilight Invite in a time of 44.84 … competed at the Drake Alternative Meet and took eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.04 meters.

High School: A five-time letter winner for the Golddiggers … finished third at the Class A state golf meet as a senior and helped his team to the Class A team title … took first at the region tournament and second at the conference tournament … also lettered twice in basketball and once in track … competed on the Avera/Austad Junior Tour and won several tournaments … a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Nov. 3, 1994 … son of James and Robin Dirksen … majoring in bio-chemistry.
