Bio
General: Will lead the Tigers in his senior season … qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships and looks to return this season.
Junior (2016-17): At the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Panec took 11th in the 1000-meter run … took five top-five finishes last season … best finish came during the GPAC Indoor Meet in the 1000-meter run with a third-place finish … also took third at the Dennis Young Classic in the 1000-meter run in 2:36.35.
Sophomore (2016): Started his indoor season at the South Dakota State University Holiday Invite in the Mile run and took 11th with a time of 4:41.42 … competed in the Dordt Indoor Open in the Mile run and finished seventh … took tenth in the 800-meter race at the SDSU DII Invitational with a time of 2:03.35 … went to the Dennis Young Classic and finished eighth in the 4x400-meter race and the 1,000-meter run … finished 15th at the BVU Invite in the Mile run with a time of 4:40.42 … finished the indoor season at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, he took ninth in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:36.72 … started his outdoor season in the Vance Butler Invitational he took 13th in the 800-meter race in 2:05.85 … competed in the Zach Kindler Wildcat Open in the 1,500-meter run and finished third in a time of 4:14.35 … finished his outdoor season at the GPAC Championships placing 11th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:14.11.
Freshman (2015): Placed 14th in the 3,000-meter run for the Tigers at the indoor Dordt Open … finished the mile run at the SDSU Invite in a time of 4:43.20.
High School: Ran cross-country for two years in high school … also participated in track, basketball, and football for Kenesaw High School … had a top finish of 11th place at state cross country in a personal best of 17:30 for a 5K … had a 4:44 for his best mark in the 1600 meter run … finished with a 10:40 mark for his best time in the 3200-meter run.
Personal: Born on June 16, 1995 … son of William and Monika Panec … a wildlife management major.
