Tiger men and women cross country place second at BVU Invite
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men and women’s cross country team brought home a second-place finish in both events after competing at the Buena Vista Invite Saturday in Storm Lake, Iowa.
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men and women's cross country team brought home a second-place finish in both events after competing at the Buena Vista Invite Saturday in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Freshman McKenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) finished in sixth place for the Tigers, while Kelsie King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and Shailhyn Schweigert (Burke, S.D.) finished in 12th and 13th place, respectively. Taya Heisinger (Parkston, S.D.) was the fourth Tiger to finish in the top-15 with a time of 27:42.
On the men's side, Lane Tibbs (Kenesaw, Neb.) recorded a ninth-place finish, while freshman Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) added a 20th-place finish. Bryce Blank (Rapid City, S.D.) and Ryan Chase (Huron, S.D.) finished in the top-30 for the Tigers.
Both teams will compete at the Briar Cliff Invite on Oct. 8 in Sioux City, Iowa.
