Tiger men and women compete at MMC Invite, Panec finishes in fifth

YANKTON, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Mount Marty Invitational on Saturday in Yankton, S.D.
For the DWU women, freshman McKenna Rogers finished in 26th place to lead the Tigers, while Shailhyn Schweigert finished in the top-50. The Tiger women brought home a seventh-place finish out of nine teams.
On the men's side, Jeremiah Panec (Kenesaw, Neb.) recorded a fifth-place finish with a time of 26:08.63, while Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) finished in 57th place. Bryce Blank (Rapid City, S.D.) added a 59th-place finish, while Ryan Chase (Huron, S.D.) came in at 65th place. The Tigers finished 7th out of 11 teams.
DWU is back in action at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 5 in Hastings, Neb.
