Cross country competes at Defender Classic
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Defender Classic on the campus of Dordt College Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.

For the men, Brendan Langbehn (Worthing, S.D.) came in 25th place with a time of 28:26 minutes, while Bryce Blank (Rapid City, S.D.) finished in 36th after a time of 29:29.
On the women's side, Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.) led the way as she finished in sixth place with a time of 20:07. Coming in 11th was Mckenna Rodgers (Saint Michael, Minn.) as she finished in 20:32.
Kelsie King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) came in 19th in 21:06, while Delanie Larson finished in 21:51, good for 27th place and Savannah Schmidt (Plankinton, S.D.) finished in 41st place in 23:29.
Both teams will compete again at the Dean White Invitational on Sept. 22 in Crete, Neb.
