Dakota Wesleyan University '14

Chelsea Moody wrapped up her four-year playing career with the Dakota Wesleyan University softball team in May of 2014. She returned to the team’s dugout in 2015 as an assistant coach and enters her fourth season in the same position in 2018.

Moody, a four-year letter winner for the Tigers, continues her role this season as the assistant coach. The Mitchell, S.D., native played first base all four seasons for Dakota Wesleyan, and set the school record for fielding percentage in a career (.980). She finished her career with 692 putouts and just 15 errors.

Moody earned two Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for the Tigers, and she was a part of the team that set the school record for wins in a season and went 22-18 in 2014. That same team won a Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament game for the first time in school history, and set 11 other team and individual records.

In July 2015, Moody was named the DWU Student Support Assistant for Financial Aid.

Moody completed her degree in business administration at Dakota Wesleyan in 2014.
