DWU women’s basketball inks Colorado native
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team has added a true scoring threat in Lewisville, Colo., native Brooke Jones it was announced by head women’s basketball coach Jason Christensen on Monday.
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball team has added a true scoring threat in Lewisville, Colo., native Brooke Jones it was announced by head women's basketball coach Jason Christensen on Monday.
Jones will join the Tigers in the fall of 2017 after averaging 13.5 points and four rebounds per game for Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colo. She was a three-year letterwinner in basketball for the Warriors, leading her team to an 18-7 record and a Northwestern League Conference Championship.
"Brooke is a versatile athlete that plays well in transition," Christensen said. "She excels in the open court and can finish at the rim."
As a senior, she was named First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region and played in the All-State Game. She was also a member of the Colorado Prospects Academy. Aside from basketball, Jones was a three-year starter in softball.
She is the daughter of Juliebeth Malone and Gill Jones.
