Christensen inks 10 during early signing period
MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball Head Coach Jason Christensen is pleased to announce the signing of 10 student-athletes during the November early signing period, it was announced Wednesday. Eight of the 10 signees stay in their home state of South Dakota, while one joins from Minnesota and the other from Nebraska.

General: Joins the DWU women's basketball team from Brandon Valley High School where she participated for four seasons.

General: The Aberdeen Roncalli record holder joins the DWU squad after lettering six times in basketball.

Haylee Mork | 5-5 | Fr. | Aberdeen, S.D. | Aberdeen Central High School
General: Will provide depth at the guard position for the Tigers … two-year starter and four-time letterwinner in basketball.
High School: Helped the Golden Eagles to a South Dakota Class "AA" basketball championship in 2016 … averaged 10.6 points per game … shot 41.9 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from 3-point range … tallied 46 rebounds and 52 assists … competed in volleyball for four seasons and helped her team win the South Dakota Class "AA" volleyball championship … a three-year starter in volleyball … participated in track for four years and was a three-year starter.

Rebecca Buchholz | 5-3 | Fr. | Highmore, S.D. | Highmore High School
General: Comes to the 'Palace City' from Highmore, S.D., where she was a five-year letterwinner.
High School: Game high 26 points and 10 steals … averaged 15 points per game and shot 80.4 percent from the free-throw line … took 10 charges in 11 games … named 281 All-Conference First Team her junior and sophomore year … named 281 All-Conference Third Team her freshman season … three-year captain and three-year offensive MVP … National Honor Society and 'A' Honor Roll member … won six academic letters, Student of the Month twice and Presidential Education Award … also competed in volleyball for four years and track for six years.

General: O'Malley joins the Tiger from Irene-Wakonda High School where she was a five-year letterwinner.

General: Halling comes to DWU after winning the Eastern South Dakota Conference title for the Harrisburg Tigers.

"We have a great group of kids that I believe will be great additions to not only our Tiger family, but to the Dakota Wesleyan community as well," Christensen said. "While we have a large group, I believe this group will help us to continue to be a competitive and successful program. Our coaching staff is excited about the potential of this 2018 class."
