DWU women’s basketball signs IMG Academy standout
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team has announced the signing of IMG Academy talent, Braydn Dresser, women’s head basketball coach Jason Christensen announced Tuesday.

Dresser, the 5-foot-11 guard, is a native of Fargo, N.D., and attended IMG Academy in Manatee County, Fla., for her senior season. They played in six games during the 2017-18 season. Throughout those six games, Dresser averaged 52 percent shooting from the field and 100 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
She made a season-high four three-point shots against Auburndale on Jan. 22 in the first game of the season. Dresser also notched a season-high shooting 75 percent from the field against Sunlake High School on Jan. 26 in the second game of the year.
"We are excited to add Braydn to the Tiger family," Christensen said. "With her height, length and ability, she will be a great asset to our program and help us continue to stay competitive."
Along with her shooting capabilities, Dresser proved she can rebound and play defense as well. She averaged 5.1 rebounds per game, while averaging 3.5 defensive rebounds per game. She had a season-high seven defensive rebounds and eight total rebounds against Sunlake High School.
Dresser also averaged 1.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game for IMG. She was also awarded the Gatorade Award for basketball.
Braydn is the daughter of Craig and Lisa Dresser and plans to major in biology at DWU.
