DWU basketball announces 2019-20 schedule
MITCHELL, S.D. – With just over two months until the beginning of basketball season, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s basketball teams announced their full schedule for the 2019-20 season on Friday.
MITCHELL, S.D. – With just over two months until the beginning of basketball season, the Dakota Wesleyan University men's and women's basketball teams announced their full schedule for the 2019-20 season on Friday.
For the second-straight year, the women kick off the season against Valley City State University on Oct. 30. A few weeks later, the women play NCAA Division I South Dakota State University in a neutral site battle on Heritage Court at the Sanford Pentagon on Friday, Nov. 15.
Both teams will compete in the NAIA Sanford Pentagon Classic on Nov. 2-3, as these will be the season-opening games for the men's team. The conference home opener will be played against Midland University on Saturday, Nov. 16.
After a stretch of four conference games, the men head to Joilet, Ill., to participate in the St. Francis Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
The Tigers travel south to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to play in the Cruzin' Classic as the women play on Dec. 18-19 and the men play on Dec. 20-21. The men return home to play Southeastern (Fla.) and Trinity International in the Hoop City Classic on Dec. 27-28.
The final home game of the regular season will be played against Northwestern College on Wednesday Feb. 19.
