Sabers finishes sixth, Tigers compete at Bent Tree Invite

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team competed in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in their first meet of 2017.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team competed in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in their first meet of 2017.

 Kristin Sabers (Mitchell, S.D.) led the way for the Tigers as she brought home a sixth-place finish with a final score of 157. Madison VanWalleghen (Letcher, S.D.) finished 58th with a score of 200, while freshman Emily Sharkey (Upton, Wyo.) came in 61st-place.

 The Tigers are back in action on April 12 in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Whispering Creek Golf Course.
