DWU women’s golf takes fifth at GPAC Championships
COLUMBUS, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team competed at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Golf Championships and took fifth place Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Columbus, Neb.
COLUMBUS, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team competed at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Golf Championships and took fifth place Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Columbus, Neb.
Niki Nelson (Platee, S.D.) led the way for the Tigers as she individually tied for 12th place after carding an 81, 91 and 89 through the week. Coming in 19th for DWU was Skylar Brunk (Lee's Summit, Mo.) who finished with a week total of 267.
Brooke Ehlers (Worthing, S.D.) tied for 24th place after carding a 274, while Madison VanWalleghen (Letcher, S.D.) tied for 29th with a total of 282. Emily Sharkey (Upton, Wyo.) took 33rd place after tallying 286 for the week.
The tournament concludes the DWU women's golf season. The Tigers do not graduate any golfers, while bringing in 10 new faces for the 2018-19 season.
