Tigers take third at Lila Frommelt Fall Classic
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team competed amongst some of the top teams nationally after taking third place at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic, behind only William Penn University and Morningside College. The Invitational was on Friday and Saturday at the Two Rivers Golf Club in North Sioux City, S.D., hosted by Briar Cliff University.

Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) led the DWU golfers as she carded a 159 as she tied for 11th place. Not far behind was Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) who finished with a 160, good for 17th. Jade Burr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) tallied a 162 during the weekend as she tied for 19th.
Niki Nelson (Platte, S.D.) tied for 22nd with a 164, as Ronaie Klein (Winner, S.D.) tallied a 172. Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.) came in 40th with a 173, while Brooke Ehlers (Worthing, S.D.) carded a 175.
Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.) recorded a 178 in the invitational as she came in 47th, as Lily Miner (Mobridge, S.D.) notched 48th place with a 179.
Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) tallied a 184 as she tied for 54th and Cassidy Gosmire (Canova, S.D.) tied for 59th with a total of 189.
Emily Sharkey (Upton, Wyo.) tied for 67th with a total of 195, while Delilah Brinker (Dimock, S.D.) finished with a 210.
The women's golf team will compete next at the Platteview Golf Course in Bellevue, Neb., on Sept. 24 and 25.
