DWU golf kicks off spring campaign
WICHITA, Kan. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s golf teams kicked off the 2019 spring season as they competed at the Tabor College Spring Invite on Monday and Tuesday at the Tallgrass Country Club in Wichita, Kan.

The women's team finished in sixth place after carding a score of 746. Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) led the women's team with a two-day total of 181, tying for 13th place. Niki Nelson (Platte, S.D.) tied for 19th following a score of 186, as freshman Jade Burr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) tallied a score of 188, tying for 22nd place.
Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) came in 26th place after carding a 191, while Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) notched a 35th place finish after a score of 210.
The men's team recorded a fourth-place finish with a two-day total of 676. Bennett Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) led the way for the men with a total of 162, good for 15th. Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) finished with a score of 169 and a 19th-place finish.
Ramsey Johnson (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for 20th with a total of 171, as Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) came in 22nd place after carding a 174. Jayden Engels (Watertown, S.D.) notched a score of 180, good for 24th place.
The women's golf team competes next at the Fremont Country Club in Fremont, Neb., while the men's golf squad is set to compete at the Wilderness Ridge/Highlands Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.
