Tigers compete at CSM/MU Spring Invitational
FREMONT, Neb. – In the second meet of the spring season, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team finished in third place at the CSM/MU Spring Invitational on Monday at the Fremont Golf Club in Fremont, Neb.
FREMONT, Neb. – In the second meet of the spring season, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team finished in third place at the CSM/MU Spring Invitational on Monday at the Fremont Golf Club in Fremont, Neb.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Nicole Nelson (Platte, S.D.) who carded an 86 in the first round and an 85 in the second round for a total 171. After 36 holes of play, Nelson finished tied for second in the meet. The senior also was first in par 4 scoring for the tournament, averaging 4.67 scoring on Par 4 holes.
Tied for 10th place was Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) who finished the day shooting a 174. Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) concluded the first round firing an 85. Greenhoff finished the day with a score of 178 and tied for 14th place. Tied for 18th was Jade Burr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) and Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) who shot identical 91 in the first round and an 89 in the second round.
The Tigers will continue play at the Doane Invite on April 11 at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.
