The Tigers picked up a 24-18 victory over York College, while dropping matches to the University of Jamestown, Northwest Kansas Technical College and Labette Community College.
In the win over York, Matt Schirado (Harrisburg, S.D.) defeated Devaunte Cuba by fall at the 1:34 mark. Schirado returned to Mitchell with a 4-0 record at the 197-pound weight class.
Against Jamestown, Schirado recorded a 6-0 decision over Ryan Sanchez, while Trevor Peter (Dell Rapids, S.D.) defeated William Park 4-3. During the second match of the day against Northwest Kansas Technical College, Schirado defeated Turah Reed by fall, while Tanner Wernsman (Arapahoe, Neb.) won 9-6 over Vince Evenson. In the third match, Schirado took care of Andrew Garber of Labette Community College, 16-0.
The Tigers return to action taking on Midland University for a GPAC dual at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Fremont, Neb.
