Sutera helps guide Tiger wrestling at UNK Duals

In their first match against Cloud County Community College the Tigers lost, 24-20. Freshman Stas Sutera (Tyndall, S.D.) won by tech. fall 18-0, while Zechariah Westergaard (Vermillion, S.D.) won his match by decision, 5-4.
Next the Tigers squared off against Neosho County Community College and lost 28-21. Sutera defeated Cody Hey by fall in the first period, while freshman Marcus Urban (Plankinton, S.D.) won by decision, 8-2. Forrest Lewis (Custer, S.D.) won by fall and Alex Osborne (Vermillion, S.D.) downed Brayden Collins by fall in the first period.
DWU faced Northwestern Kansas Technical College in their third match and fell 42-13. Sutera won by fall in the second period, Urban won by major decision, 10-2 and Osborne defeated Bowman Ellis by decision, 11-10.
In their final match of the day the Tigers competed against Bethany College and were defeated, 33-6. Westergaard came away with a victory by fall in the second period.
DWU will compete at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Duals at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fremont, Neb.
