Women’s Soccer Recruiting Class Taking Shape with Signing of Cahoy

MITCHELL, S.D. – After a successful first season as coach of the Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team, Clayson Glasgow is off to a fast start in his first full recruiting campaign with the Tigers.

After signing a pair of players out of Sioux Falls earlier in the week, Glasgow got the news that Tea Area midfielder/defender Kennady Cahoy signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for DWU next year, it was announced Friday.

"What I like most about Kennedy is her relentlessness, encouraging attitude, just her overall positive energy is outstanding," Glasgow said. "Dakota Wesleyan University is very blessed to have her. She will do great things here."

The 5-foot-4 Cahoy recently finished her senior season with the Titans, earning South Dakota All-State First Team and Elite 11 honors. She scored six goals over four seasons with the Tea Area High School team, which finished 5-6-1 last season.

"I picked DWU for many reasons, one being that they have a great athletic training program," Cahoy said "I have wanted to play college soccer since I was little, and after going to the DWU soccer camp my freshman year, I fell in love with the campus and the soccer program."

Kennady is the daughter of Martin and Holly Cahoy and plans to major in athletic training at DWU.
