Dirksen and Longville take first at Mount Marty Twilight

Dirksen took first in the pole vault with a leap of 12' 5.5". The senior also competed in the long jump and finished in sixth-place (19' 7") and 10th in the 110 hurdles (18.06).
Freshman Nathan Bader took third in the 100-meter dash (11.41) and second in the 200-meter dash (22.81). Fellow freshman Anthony Fontenot (Stephan, S.D.) took fourth in the 200 (24.12) and third in the 400 (55.54).
Jeremiah Panec (Kenesaw, Neb.) brought home an eighth-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:02.75.
In the 110 hurdles, Jon Harmening (Jackson, Minn.) took sixth (16.21), while Dakota Bodden (Tabor, S.D.) grabbed eighth in 16.73.
Sophomore Nick Raab (Yankton, S.D.) finished seventh in the shot put (39' 10.75") and ninth in the discus (120' 4").
On the women's side, Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) tallied a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.80. In the 800, McKenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) took second (2:29.14) and Shailhyn Schweigert (Burke, S.D.) finished in sixth (2:38.14).
The DWU women's 4x100 relay team took first (52.64) with Weidler, Kamber Lamer (Hartford, S.D.), Meghan Travis (Minneota, Minn.) and Kaylynn Anziano (Rapid City, S.D.) at the helm.
Travis also took third in the high jump with a leap of 4'9". Kristen Longville (Lake Preston, S.D.) took fourth in the long jump (15'11") and first in the triple jump (34'11"). Freshman Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) tallied a second-place finish in the shot put (39; 8.5"), while Kristen Jennings (Canton, S.D.) finished in fifth in the discus (121'0").
Both teams are back in action at the GPAC Outdoor Championships May 5-6 in Fremont, Neb.
