Tigers run into record books following Dordt Open performances
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – It was a day of Dakota Wesleyan University track and field athletes reaching new personal records and etching their names in the program history books at the Dordt Open on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Junior Dakota Bodden (Tabor, S.D.) set a personal record in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.82. He had another personal best as he placed fourth in the 55-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.21 and finds himself ninth all-time in the DWU record books. Gabe Dirksen (Lead, S.D.) set a personal record in the 55-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.96. Jeremiah Panec (Kenesaw, Neb.) finished in 4:32.97 in the mile, good for third place and put him eighth all-time in the DWU record books. He also placed eighth in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:36.83. Sophomore Nick Raab (Yankton, S.D.) set two personal records of his own. In the weight throw he finished with a toss of 11.89 meters and had a toss of 12.33 meters in the indoor shot put taking 14th.
Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) took eighth in the 55-meter dash in 7.61 which is fourth all-time in DWU history. She also took fifth in the long jump with a jump of 5.14-meters that put her in the DWU record books at fourth all-time. Freshman Kaylynn Anziano (Rapid City, S.D.) found herself in the DWU record books with a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 27.64. She also took 10th in the 4x400-meter dash with a time of 4:28.64. Mckenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) took fourth in the 1000-meter run in 3:14.63 and fourth all-time in DWU history. She also ran the mile in 5:40.69 which took ninth and put her at fourth in the DWU record books. Heidi Frazee (Gillette, Wyo.) set a personal record in the weight throw with a toss of 11.89 meters which took 10th and put her at sixth in the DWU record books.
The Tigers compete at the SDSU DII Invitational on Friday in Brookings, S.D.
