Rogers takes third, Tigers compete at Wildcat Classic

WAYNE, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams competed in their first outdoor meet of the 2017 season.
Freshman McKenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) competed in the 1500-meter race and brought home a third-place finish with a time of 5:16.56, good for the seventh fastest time in school history.
Fellow freshman Kristin Jennings (Canton, S.D.) took 20th in the discus throw with a toss of 122-feet and seven inches, marking the sixth farthest throw in DWU history.
Other athletes that competed were Mikaela Stofferahn, Heidi Frazee, Jessica Backes, Darius Norwood and Kelsie King.
