Lamer competes at NAIA Outdoor National Championships
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Sophomore Kamberlyn Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) competed at the 37th Annual NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championships for the first time in her career Friday where she competed in the long jump. Lamer finished in 40th-place with a leap of 16-7.75 feet.
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Sophomore Kamberlyn Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) competed at the 37th Annual NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships for the first time in her career Friday where she competed in the long jump. Lamer finished in 40th-place with a leap of 16-7.75 feet.
She qualified for the championships with a school record leap of 18-1.75 feet at the Dordt Twilight Meet on May 12 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She also helped DWU to a first-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in the same meet.
In the Great Plains Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in Fremont, Neb., Lamer brought home a fifth-place finish in the heptathlon, which was highlighted by a first place finish in the long jump with a leap of 16-1.75 feet and a first place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.24.
