
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team continued its Great Plains Athletic Conference schedule against Northwestern College Wednesday in Orange City, Iowa.
The Tigers pushed the No. 11 Red Raiders in a close first set, but were eventually swept 3-0 to fall to 9-7 overall and 1-3 in the GPAC this season. The line score was 25-23, 25-15, 25-19.
Junior Lauren Tadlock (Rapid City, S.D.) led the Tigers with 10 kills, while junior Taylor Spence (North Branch, Minn.) added eight kills and 10 digs in the loss. Junior Sammy Fluck (Becker, Minn.) was also involved in the DWU attack with seven kills to go along with three total blocks.
Junior setter Michelle Van Epps (Lakefield, Minn.) put up 24 assists, while senior Maggie Stehly (Sioux Falls, S.D.) added a team-high 13 digs for DWU.
The Red Raiders (16-3, 4-0) were paced by Lauryn Hilger with 14 kills, while Jessica Van Beek added 12.
The Tigers Continue GPAC action against No. 24 Doane College at 5 p.m.
