Omaha, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan (RV) volleyball team ended day one a perfect 2-0 to mark their third straight victory on the season. The biggest win of the day came in game two against (RV) Lady of the Lake who the Tigers beat three sets to one. Ady Dwight was the leader again for the Tigers collecting 30 kills and six blocks between the two games. Kayleigh Hybertson continued her strong freshman campaign with 53 set assists on the day. Tya Weideman held down the back row with 39 digs while Elizabeth Tyler recorded her second double-double of the season with her 11 kills and 14 digs in game two. Dakota Wesleyan improved to 7-4 on the season with the two wins.

The Tigers moved to 6-4 on the season with their three-set win against Grand View. The Tigers handled the Vikings in all three sets, holding them to under 20 points in each one (25-19, 25-19, 25-13) with set three being the biggest blowout at 25-13. DWU dominated on the offensive attack in all three sets with attack percentages of .317, .355, and their best in set three at .429. Ady Dwight paced all attackers in the game with her 16 kills on 28 attempts for a .500 swing percentage. Dwight did it on the other side of the net with three blocks as well in the contest. Abigail Brunsing continued to be a strong number two option for Kayleigh Hybertson, who collected 37 assists, with her 11 kills. Dakota Wesleyan cleaned up the service errors in this match, not giving the Vikings many free points with their six aces and only two errors. Elizabeth Tyler led with three aces alone to go with her full stat line of seven kills, seven digs, two blocks, and the two aces. Tya Weideman was the anchor on defense with her 14 digs followed by Carlee Laubach's nine digs.

In set one the Tigers had an early 7-2 lead getting kills from Dwight and Brunsing to fuel it. DWU maintained this lead and even grew on it with their biggest lead of the set at 18-11 drawing a Grand View timeout to talk things over. The Vikings worked some sort of a comeback, but it was little too late as the Tigers put the finishing touches on to claim the first set 25-19. Set two saw the Vikings grab their first lead of the game at 3-2. They increased it to 4-2 before the Tigers went on a 9-1 run that included seven unanswered points to regain the lead at 11-5. DWU kept this distance from GVU and earned the set two 25-19 win. Up two sets to none the Tigers weren't backing off the gas, jumping out to a big 12-5 advantage. The Tigers kept the throttle down throughout the set leaning heavy on Dwight and Brunsing offensively to earn 25-13 blowout set win and 3-0 match victory.

The Tigers kept the momentum from game one of the day to game two with a convincing 25-18 set one victory against a OLLU team receiving national votes. The Tigers hit an extremely efficient .412 during the set and didn't commit a single attack error. Emily Dale led the Tigers with her five kills followed by Dwight with four. DWU was all over the Saints both on the block and the Tigers back row defense holding them to a .196 hitting percentage. The race to 15 had both squads going back and forth early with DWU winning the race and holding a 15-11 lead. Dakota Wesleyan maintained that lead closing the Saints out on a 10-7 run for the 25-18 set one victory. Set two was a completely different story for DWU as they dropped the set 25-19. The Tigers committed five attack errors in the set and only eight kills for a .086 percentage.

Set three had the Tigers take a two sets to one advantage with their 25-19 win. DWU used defense and capitalizing on Saints mistakes (11 errors) in the set. Dakota Wesleyan only recorded 11 total kills in the with Dwight being responsible for most of them. It was a back and forth set with both teams knotted up at 12, but that was when the Tigers took over. DWU closed the set on a 13-7 run to grab the set and 2-1 set advantage. Set four had both sides not playing their best brand of ball. DWU had a season worst .049 hitting percentage while the Saints had a -.065 recording more attack errors (13) than kills (11). Dakota Wesleyan did enough to win the set and the match 25-22. Dwight led the way with 14 kills followed by Tyler who recorded her second double-double of the season with 11 kills and 14 digs. Hybertson finished with 36 assists while Weideman led the back row with her 25 digs.
