Rogers, Panec finish strong at Dordt Invite

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – It was a day to remember for the Dakota Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams at the Dordt Classic Invite on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.

 Sophomore McKenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) finished in her best time of the season as she came in seventh place in a time of 19:29.92. The finish was the second-best finish in cross country in her career.

 Kelsie King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) added a 74^th-place finish as she finished in 22:26.34 and freshman Macey Bohl (Garretson, S.D.) took 82^nd.

 For senior Jeremiah Panec (Kenesaw, Neb.), he recorded his first top-five finish of the 2017 season. He finished in fifth place with a time of 26:27.71.

 Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) and Lane Tibbs (Kenesaw, Neb.) came in 38^th and 39^th, respectively for the Tigers. Freshman Brendan Langbehn (Worthing, S.D.) added a 42^nd-place finish in his second collegiate meet for DWU.

 The Tigers are in action on Sept. 23 at the Roy Griak Invite in St. Paul, Minn.
