DWU cross-country competes at GPAC Championships
NORTH BEND, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross-country teams completed their seasons at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships Saturday in North Bend, Neb. The women’s team grabbed their best finish in school history with a seventh-place finish as a team, as the men’s team came in 10th.

On the men's side, Brendan Langbehn (Wothing, S.D.) came in 37th place with a time of 28:03.81 minutes, while Bryce Blank (Rapid City, S.D.) tallied a 50th-place finish in 28:52.92.
Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) came in 61st place after completing the race in 29:47.32 and Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) notched a time of 30:22.33. Austin Hughes (Box Elder, S.D.) recorded a time of 34:09.86, as Anthony Fontenot (Stephan, S.D.) finished in 34:14.86.
Mckenna Roger (Saint Michael, Minn.) paced the women as she came in 27th place with a time of 20:07.33, while Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.) finished close behind in 31st in 20:16.20. Senior Kelsi King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) completed her career in 33rd place in 20:19.72, as freshman Delanie Larson (Gettysburg, S.D.) finished in 21:49.19.
Savannah Schmidt (Plankinton, S.D.) recorded a time of 23:19.01 and Emma Meyers finished in 23:54.84.
