Current DWU student Hanah Cerkoney joins the sports information ranks as a media assistant for the 2017-18 school year. Cerkoney previously served as a intern for the Black Hills Pioneer where she wrote sport articles and shot photography during baseball games. In high school, Cerkoney did an exstensive project, covering all Lead-Deadwood High School varisty sports. As a student at DWU she implemented a social media platform for basketball gamedays. Cerkoney will assist Mills and the SID Staff in gameday management, media relations and press releases. A 2016 graduate of Lead-Deadwood, she is pursuing a degree in communications with an emphasis in sports media.
