Peyton Bagley
Mitchell, S.D. – Tiger athlete-of-the-week award goes to Sophomore, softball player Peyton Bagley. Bagley was 6-for-10 with five runs, five RBI, two double, one triple, and two home runs in the first three games of the season.
In the game against Minot, Bagley had the hot bat going 4-for-4 with three runs, and three RBI while hitting for the cycle. Her first at bat was a single to left center field, before hitting a double in the third inning to right center, a home run over the batters’ eye to center field in the fifth, and her triple through the left side in the seventh. After the first three games, Bagley is hitting .600 with a 1.600 slugging percentage.
Bagley and the Tigers are back in action this coming weekend when they head to the newly opened Dordt Dome for four more games in two days. DWU opens play at Dordt with Mount Mercy and Mayville State on Friday, Feb. 10 at noon and 2 p.m., then on Saturday, the Tigers will take on Peru State at 10 a.m. and Grand View at 2 p.m..
