Southwest Minnesota State University (B.A. in Sports Management)- 2021

Beau Priegnitz is going into his second year at DWU and first as the new Director of Sports Information.

Priegnitz’s most recent position was the assistant sports information director at NCAA Division II Wayne State. His duties included calling and inputting live statistical information for the Wildcats. He also assisted in updating athlete and coaching bios for the WSC athletic website. Other duties he was assigned at WSC included updating record books and historical archives. 

Priegnitz worked in the sports information department at Southwest Minnesota State where he earned his bachelor's degree in December 2021.  Duties included stat calling and inputting for sports at SMSU, including the 2017 NCAA Division II Central Region Volleyball Tournament.  He also assisted with updating bios on the athletic department website, archiving, and updating of school records and photography among other duties. Priegnitz also served one year at Colorado School of Mines where he was a full-time assistant coach with the Oredigger football team and as a student was also a full-time professor teaching three classes.  As an assistant football coach, Beau was responsible for helping with team travel, scouting, film and helping organize practices among other duties.

Beau's primary sport responsibilities are football, men and women's basketball, baseball, volleyball.

Beau Resides in Mitchell, S.D. with his girlfriend Brianna Connelly.
