Bio

Matt McManus joined the DWU athletic training staff in July of 2021. McManus was part of the athletic training staff at DWU as a graduate assistant from 2013-15 before heading to Fargo, N.D., where he worked with the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks.  In addition to the RedHawks, he also worked at Concordia College Moorhead where he provided coverage to men’s and women’s hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, and baseball from 2015-2021.

McManus is a member of many different organizations, including the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) and the South Dakota Athletic Training Association (SDATA). He is also certified in Mental Health First Aid, HawkGrips (Level 1) and also an American Heart Association Instructor.

McManus is a former DWU football player and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training in May of 2013, before completing his Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Administration in May 2015.

Matt provides coverage to: men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and serves as a clinical preceptor for Dakota Wesleyan athletic training students.  

McManus resides in Mitchell with his wife Molly and two daughters, Parker and Blair.
