General: Veland will join the Tiger baseball team for the 2018 season from Sioux Falls, S.D. He started on the mound for Sioux Falls Lincoln High School his junior and senior seasons.

High School: Finished his junior season with a record of 5-0 in 23 and one-third innings pitched with a save … struck out 23 batters and walked eight while allowing 15 hits with a 1.2 ERA … lettered for the Patriots his senior, junior and sophomore seasons … played for the Renner Royals legion team … in 61 and two-thirds innings pitched he finished with a 3-2 record, 49 strikeouts and a 2.270 ERA his junior season … also a member of the bowling team … won the State Bowling Championship his junior season.
