Former DWU great Francois Barnaud enters his first season in the coaching ranks as an assistant to head coach Ross Cimpl.

Barnaud returns to Mitchell as one of the most dynamic running backs in DWU history. He currently sits in the DWU record books with most rushing yards in a season with 1,893 yards and most rushing yards in a career at 3,558 yards. He was named to the All-GPAC Offense First Team in 2014. The Belle Fourche S.D., native ended his senior year with 14 touchdowns, while averaging 128.1 yards per game.

Barnaud will help the coaching staff with recruiting, gameday management and will be the top assistant for the DWU running backs. He is also pursuing a Master's degree in educational policy and administration from DWU.
